Freedom Square & Back of the Moon - This documentary explores through the vehicle of a play that Angus was involved in workshopping, the life and destruction of Sophiatown - a vibrant suburb, home to an extraordinary mix of people that was targeted by the Nationalist government. The film brought great talent together. In the picture Nadine Gordimer (writer and Nobel Laureate) is on the Market Theatre stage with Angus, William Kentridge (superstar artist) and Patrick Shai (much awarded actor). The illusion was created that a range of people who at the time were in exile, were together on the Market stage. To do this the backdrops for the play were flown around the world. In Lusaka, Thabo Mbeki offered his services as boom swinger!
